ENSENADA, MEXICO - April 23, 2005 – HENRY BROWN,

the Navy trophy in the 58th Annual International Lexus Newport to Ensenada

Trophy.
The Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race began with 466 yachts, 23 classes
including Maxi, Sprit, PHRF, ULDB, ORCA, Ancient Mariner and Cruising
at noon on Friday, April 22nd from Newport Beach, Calif.
The race is the largest in the world and well known for the number of
Hollywood stars who participate. Famous entertainers racing in the past
include stars such as Humphrey Bogart, Rock Hudson, David Gates, Vicki
Lawrence, Walter Cronkite, and Buddy Ebsen.

Henry Brown, who earned both his undergraduate and masters degrees from
USC, won the trophy, previously held by Dennis Conner, among others
by beating out 38 boats in his class and his nearest competition by
over 40 minutes.
Brown has been one of the Trojan Navy rowing team’s greatest sponsors
in recent years, purchasing the Crew new equipment and financing the
team’s tour of England’s Henley Royal Regatta last summer.
Race officials, who insisted Henry pose for
photographs with a number of young ladies from UCLA, awarded Brown the
regatta trophy on his yacht’s arrival in Ensenada.
