Brown Family Purchase State-of-the Art Four-Man Shell for Trojan Navy

When the Men’s Crew were desperate for a new engine to start practices at the beginning of semester it was Henry Brown who purchased the outboard for the crew.

When the crew’s ageing four-man shell broke apart in two races in a row and deprived our Trojans of a race in November, Henry Brown again came to the rescue.

“Actually, this time it is my mother, Linda,” said Henry. Linda Brown, has pledged a new top of the line four-man shell to replace the old one. The new shell is expected to arrive in late January and plans are underway for a Christening ceremony to dedicate the shell in the Brown Family’s honor.

“I have been forwarding on the crew email updates as well as the newsletter to my mother and she has become quite a fan of the Men’s Crew,” said Henry.

The new shell will be used by the top four oarsmen when they compete for the National Championships in June.
