Centreville, Mass: The Intercollegiate Rowing Association National
Rowing Championships regatta stewards have announced final selections
of crews that will compete in the 2004 IRA Rowing Championships and
USC has been selected to compete in the Varsity Coxless Four and Freshman
Coxed Four events.
The IRA National Championships will be held June 3-5 on Cooper River
in Cherry Hill, NJ. The championship is comprised of the top 18 crews
from across the nation in the Varsity Fours category and top 24 crews
in the Freshman Coxed Four event.
USC's Freshman Four Crew won silver at the 2003 IRA National Championships,
marking the Trojan Navy’s second highest result ever at the IRA
National Championships. The Trojans won the Coxed Pair in 1973, an event
that has since been discontinued.
