Junior Ryan Hasvold was recently selected as a member of the PAC-10 Men’s All-Conference Team. A recognition of Ryan’s hard work and difference making ability on the water.
Two days before the San Diego Crew Classic, Ryan broke his ankle. That injury left the young USC Varsity Crew lean on experience as they raced through the heart of the season, including the Hillen Cup duel against UCLA. But his late season return made his contribution all the more apparent.
“Ryan came back from his injury to recapture the 7-seat for the tail end of the season, and his rhythm and strength really helped give the Varsity their most complete race at the PAC-10 Championships,” noted Coach Danny Johnson.
In addition to his All-Conference honor, Ryan will serve as Captain of the Crew as he embarks on his Senior year rowing campaign.
