The Men’s Crew at the University of Southern California depends on your support. We operate on a budget wholly reliant on the charity of friends, current and former USC Oarsmen, and their families. The University provides less than .5% of our operating budget although we compete against fully funded varsity programs including Cal, Washington, and Stanford. Our coaching staff, equipment, gear, and travel expenses are currently paid for by generous patrons like you.
Here are some way’s to support the student-athletes of the USC Men’s Crew:
- “Sponsor a Rower”: Organizations, Alumni Clubs, Corporations and benefactors are encouraged to directly impact the experience of an oarsmen at the local, national or international level. To sponsor a rower, or a boat, please contact us at mens.crew@usc.edu
- “Building a Legacy”: Endowment campaign established in 2010 to guarantee that the Men’s Crew will forever be able to provide student’s with the opportunity to row at the University of Southern California.
- “Rent a Rower”: Our athletes will do housework and chores for you! This program allows you one-on-one contact with an oarsmen who is trying to raise money to cover his traveling expenses.
You are also invited to all of our many events throughout the year:
- “Past, Present, and Future Night”, Homecoming, Erg-A-Thon , International BBQ, Spring Banquet
Collegiate Rowing is more than the practice of placing the oar in the water; it is a challenge and an endeavor that provides a means of maturation. Current and future USC Oarsmen deserve the opportunity to learn persistence, discipline, teamwork and triumph. These lessons learned on the water and with the Crew are powerful. Please give so that USC Men’s Crew may sustain, grow and continue to have a positive impact on the lives of students.
