The Erg-a-thon will be on April 1 at 4:00 in front of Tommy Trojan in the heart of the USC campus. Families, Alumni, and friends of the USC Men’s Crew are welcome and encouraged to attend. Come watch, participate, and cheer on our rowers!
All rowers are expected to participate. Each rower is expected to raise a minimum of $500.00 each. Pledge Donation Forms and additional details are available below.
What is an Erg-a-thon?
An ergometer is a indoor rowing machine used to train the rowers on land. USC Men’s Crew has 16 ergometers which are kept on the rooftop of the PED building on campus.Overall during the erg-a-thon each athlete will row for 10,000 meters. This will be broken down into a series of fun and competitive races.
Funds raised will be used towards our travel cost to the Championship Regattas this year including:
- PAC-10 Championship Regatta in Sacramento, CA = $4,000
- ACRA National Championship in Oklahoma= $13,000 (flight and hotel)
- The International Training Trip ( Marlow Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta in England)= current price is $3,000 per rower. Any additional funds raised after the PAC-10’s and ACRA’s will go to offset each rower’s cost.
