Sophomore Kellen Proctor has been selected by the American Collegiate Rowing Association as a 2009 All American. A great achievement for a young man who only began rowing a year and a half ago.
Coach Danny Johnson said proudly, “Kellen’s achievements this year have been nothing short of awesome. He lead the team with his erg scores and set a new standard for training on the Crew, and this award is a testament to his hard work and solid contribution all year.”
In addition to his national recognition for performance, Kellen was awarded the ‘Hammer’ Award at this years Banquet, signifying Kellen’s leadership and commitment to consistent, high quality training and racing.
“As Kellen continues to mature as a man and as an athlete, the University of Southern California and the Men’s Crew are excited to see where his natural talent and great motivation take him” continued Coach Johnson.
